The Role
Tortilla is looking for a dynamic, driven Accounts Assistant with exceptional organisation skills and multi-tasking ability. In a fast-paced environment, you will be primarily responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger. Key Responsibilities
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices, credit note
- Performing new supplier checks
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies
- Allocating payments and maintaining accurate supplier accounts
- Posting weekly bank transactions and assisting with account reconciliations
- Responding to supplier and internal queries in a timely manner
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Supporting the finance team with continuous improvements to purchase ledger procedures.
- Ad-hoc duties.
Key Skills, Competencies And Experience
- Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role (desirable)
- Studying towards or completed an accounting qualification (desirable)
- Some experience and knowledge of Sage 200 and Instream (desirable)
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems (essential)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask (essential)
- Able to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines (essential)
- A proactive team player with strong communication skills (essential)
