Your new company
A well-established and growing organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join its friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to take ownership of key transactional finance processes within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. Duties will include:
- Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Monitoring and maintaining finance inboxes
- Processing employee expenses and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place
- Reconciling company credit card transactions
- Assisting with banking activities and account reconciliations
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc bookkeeping and accounting tasks

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within a Bookkeeping, Accounts Assistant position
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous
