Client Details

Following recent investment, the business has ambitious growth plans, including acquisitions and significant investment in systems and people. It's an exciting time to join a finance team that's evolving alongside the wider organisation based near Ellesmere Port.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant (Payables) include:

  • Managing the end-to-end purchase ledger process
  • Processing supplier invoices and managing approvals
  • Monthly payment runs
  • Processing employee expenses and company credit cards
  • Maintaining supplier accounts and resolving queries
  • Supporting Accounts Receivable when required
  • Assisting with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working closely with the wider finance team to improve processes
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of the new ERP system

Profile

We're looking for an Accounts Assistant who enjoys taking ownership and wants to develop their career beyond transactional finance.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within an Accounts Payable or Finance Officer position
  • Experience working across multiple areas of finance
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
  • Confidence using ERP systems (NetSuite experience would be advantageous)
  • A good understanding of how finance transactions impact the wider accounts
  • Studying towards, or previously studied, AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be beneficial, although not essential

A salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, dependent on the level of experience.
