Accounts Assistant, Bournemouth - Hybrid
Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant or Purchase Ledger professional looking for a new hybrid opportunity?
Our client is looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team. You’ll take responsibility for a varied range of Accounts Payable activities, working closely with suppliers and colleagues across the business to ensure invoices, payments and expenses are processed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and on time
- Maintaining supplier accounts and keeping payment details and terms up to date
- Handling supplier queries and resolving invoice, payment and statement discrepancies
- Preparing supplier payment runs and ensuring payments are correctly authorised
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations and investigating outstanding items
- Processing company credit card transactions and employee expenses
- Supporting month end activities, including reconciliations, journals and accruals
- Assisting with audit requirements and maintaining accurate Accounts Payable records

Who They’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or a similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
- Good problem-solving skills, particularly around invoices, payments and reconciliations
- Experience using ERP system is desirable
