Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit an additional Accounts Assistant to grow our existing Accounts Team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the finance function and helping drive operational excellence. We are fully flexible on start and finish times, hours and days per week to attract the very best candidate for this role.

Hours

Flexibility on hours of work, start and finish times and days per week

The Role

The Accounts Assistant role supports the smooth running of the finance function. The job holder will be an essential part of a team providing administrative support to Senior Accounts.

Daily duties will involve:

  • Credit control management for Sales & Purchases
  • Reconciling nominal ledgers
  • Collating & logging all invoices onto the accounts IT system to ensure prompt payment
  • Banking including bank reconciliations, lodgements, receipt and management of all cash
  • General administrative duties such as opening, sorting & distributing of post

The Person

The Essential Criteria Includes

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role
  • Ability to process information accurately and efficiently
  • Daily maintenance of Sales ledger and banking transactions
  • Reconciling nominal ledgers with accurate detail weekly.
  • Finalise nominal ledgers by 10th month to allow for Group Balance Sheet Review.
  • Carry out monthly payments through system
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Computer Literacy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Packages in particular Excel
  • Previous working experience of an Accounts computerised system

Preference will be given to those applicants holding or working towards a relevant qualification, ideally IATI qualified, previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry and working knowledge of the Keyloop computerised system.
