Accounts Assistant
Exeter, Devon
£30,000 – £33,000 per annum
Our client, a well-established organisation based in Exeter, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Assistant, you’ll take on a varied role across accounts, reconciliations, payroll, and financial administration. This is a great opportunity for a detail-focused finance professional to take genuine responsibility, develop their skills, and play a key role within a supportive team.

The responsibilities:
- Process sales and purchase invoices accurately
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and credit control
- Complete regular bank and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records across multiple entities
- Support monthly payroll processing and employee payments
- Process expenses, mileage claims, and related documentation
- Assist with VAT, month-end, and year-end reporting
- Provide general finance and administrative support as required

The candidate:
- AAT Level 2 qualified or equivalent
- Previous experience using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll
- Experience working within a multi-entity finance environment
- Strong Excel skills with excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Organised, reliable, and confident communicating with colleagues and stakeholders
