Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant to support the daily financial operations of the organization. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Preparing invoices
- Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Maintaining financial records
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assisting with expense management, payment processing, financial reporting, budget tracking
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting documentation
The role requires strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks while meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will work closely with finance team members and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, improve financial processes, and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of financial information.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and financial data analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Understanding of month-end closing procedures and financial record management.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate financial documentation and reports.
- Strong numerical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous enhancement of finance operations.
- Willingness to learn new financial systems, accounting standards, and business processes.
