Bilingual Accounts Assistant (English/French speaking)
A great opportunity has arisen for a Bilingual Accounts Assistant (English/French speaking) to join a prestigious Family Office based in Kensington & Chelsea, one of London’s most sought-after locations.
The role will focus primarily on day-to-day accounts and finance administration, working closely with the Financial Controller and liaising regularly with the Head Office in France.
This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual French/English accounts professional who is looking to develop their career within a discreet, professional, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing, verifying, and coding invoices in accordance with established procedures.
- Preparing payment packs and ensuring all supporting documentation is complete.
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records and well-organized financial documentation.
- Carrying out bank, credit card, expense, and supplier reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
- Supporting the preparation of reliable financial information and reports.
- Collating approved information for payroll, VAT, tax, audit, and KYC requirements.
- Liaising with the Head Office in France and handling routine correspondence and communication in both French and English.
- Using accounting software and Excel to maintain and analyze financial information.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with general finance administration and ad hoc accounting tasks.
- Providing cover and support to the wider finance function when required.
- Assisting with general office management duties.

About You
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in accounts, finance administration, or a similar position.
- A good working knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, and reconciliations.
- Strong Excel and general IT skills.
- Experience using an accounting system such as Xero, Sage, or similar.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Mother tongue French – essential.
- Previous experience within a family office, private office, or other confidential environment would be advantageous.
