An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy and successful finance team within a well-established automotive retail business in Cardiff.
This role will have a strong emphasis on the Purchase Ledger function and will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Managing supplier queries via telephone and email
- Preparing payment runs in line with business deadlines
- Maintaining accurate supplier account records
- Assisting with month-end processes and ledger reconciliations
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting duties
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Profile
A Successful Accounts Assistant Should Have
- Experience in accounting or finance roles within a similar environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
- A basic understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
Job Offer
- A salary of £27,000 to £33,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- A permanent role within the retail industry in Cardiff.
