Accounts Assistant Role in Rochester
Looking for an Accounts Assistant role in Rochester? You'll be helping to keep the numbers in check and ensuring the smooth running of the finance department in a retail business.
Client Details
An organisation in the retail industry based in Rochester.
Description
- Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
- Raising sales invoices
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Support the month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Respond to supplier and customer queries promptly.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial documentation.
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to meet deadlines.

Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role within the retail industry.
- Familiarity with accounting software and strong IT skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues and external contacts.
Job Offer
- Hourly rate of £14.00 - £17.00, dependent on the level of experience.
- Opportunity to gain experience in a retail accounting environment.
- Temporary contract offering flexibility.
