Join Our Finance Team
We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team supporting both the Aloft Belfast and Residence Inn by Marriott Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a growing international hotel group.
Working across our dual-site operation, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function, supporting accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
- Prepare supplier payment runs.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve account queries.
- Assist with daily income audits and revenue reconciliations.
- Process and reconcile cash, bank and credit card transactions.
- Assist with month-end procedures, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Support credit control and follow up outstanding debtor balances where required.
- Assist with payroll administration and finance reporting as required.
- Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and internal controls.
- Liaise professionally with hotel departments, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance department.
- Support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role.
- Hotel finance experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using accounting software (experience with Procure Wizard, Opera, BirchStreet or similar systems is beneficial).
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, flexible and team-focused approach.
