Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Prestwick
Reporting to: Financial Controller
MM Search are delighted to be retained by Veracity to recruit a dynamic Accounts Assistant for their Prestwick office. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive professional to join their finance team.
Main Function of the Role
To provide administrative and clerical support to the Finance Team across all subsidiaries. You will be responsible for a wide range of daily transactional duties, including processing invoices, managing ledgers, executing bank reconciliations, and handling day-to-day queries from clients and suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Front Desk
- Welcoming visitors
- Issuing passes
- Preparing teas/coffees
- Answering calls

Daily Transactional Duties
- Purchase orders & stock
- Supplier billing & supplier payments
- Expense claims
- Sales invoicing
- Customer & supplier statements
- Journals & balance sheet reconciliations
Administrative
- Preparing reports
- Ad hoc admin support
- Digital and manual filing
General & Self Development
- Act as a go-to resource for all members of the Finance Team and office staff
- Be keen to learn the systems and functions of each department
- Extend knowledge and competence by keeping up to date with professional/technical developments
- Maintain accurate records of training and learning

Requirements
Experience:
- Finance experience (Essential)
- Office experience (Essential)
Training:
- NetSuite & First Aid training will be provided
Qualifications:
- Working toward a qualification in Administration or Finance is desirable (no formal qualification required)
Personal Characteristics:
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, willing to learn, and happy to adopt new systems (Essential)
