Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant / Legal Cashier to join our busy high street firm managing our daily financial operations. In this role, you will ensure full compliance with regulatory standards while keeping our accounts running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Legal Cashiering: Processing client and office accounting transactions in line with SRA Accounts Rules.
- Purchase Ledger / Suppliers: Posting, reconciling, and processing supplier invoices, dealing with suppliers.
- Bank Reconciliations: Conducting daily bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
- Credit Control: Chasing outstanding invoices and resolving billing queries professionally.
- Administrative Support: Assisting with compliance monitoring / reporting and general financial admin.
- Holiday Cover: Provide holiday cover for Accounts Manager.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or Accounts Assistant, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of legal accounting and SRA Accounts Rules
- Skills: Strong IT literacy, excellent attention to detail, and great communication skills. Experience using LEAP and Xero would be helpful but not essential – full training provided.

- Hours: Flexible part-time hours (approx. 3 days/21 hours per week, open to discussion).
- Pay: Competitive pro-rata salary based on experience.
