This isn’t a job where you’ll be stuck doing the same thing every day. You’ll get involved across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations and credit control, working closely with colleagues across the business to keep things accurate, moving and under control.

What You’ll Be Doing As Our Accounts Assistant
You’ll be hands-on across the finance function, including:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently
- Supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing
- Reconciling bank accounts, supplier statements and customer accounts
- Recording financial transactions and keeping accounting records accurate and up to date
- Supporting credit control and contacting customers to resolve payment queries
- Helping with month-end and year-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Dealing with finance queries from customers, suppliers and colleagues - and getting problems sorted
- Keeping financial documentation organised and audit-ready
- Providing support across the wider finance team when priorities change
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience working in an accounts department
- Experience working across areas such as AP, AR, billing, reconciliations or credit control
- Confidence speaking to customers, suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
- Good attention to detail - getting the numbers right matters
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to juggle competing priorities
- The resilience and confidence to speak up, ask questions and get things moving
- Experience in a busy SME or fast-paced environment

What You’ll Get
- Salary: £29,000 - £32,000
