Accounts Assistant - Full time - London - £35,000-38,000

We're partnering with a professional services organisation to recruit an Accounts Assistant who enjoys working in a varied role, takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a busy environment and has exceptional excel skills. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive finance team, working across multiple entities and international operations while developing your skills and career.

The Opportunity:

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. From managing supplier invoices and employee expenses to supporting month-end and reporting activities, you'll become an integral part of a high-performing team.

The Responsibilities:

  • Managing the finance inbox and responding to supplier and internal finance queries
  • Processing supplier invoices and maintaining an accurate purchase ledger
  • Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Supporting payment runs and ensuring strong financial controls are maintained
  • Managing employee expenses in line with company policies
  • Assisting with month-end processes, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting audit requests and preparing finance documentation
  • Contributing to finance reporting and wider team activities across multiple entities

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar transactional finance role.
  • A good understanding of finance processes and controls
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and with external suppliers
  • Experience working within a multi-entity or international environment would be advantageous but isn't essential
