About The Role
This role involves supporting a busy finance team within a transport business based in Fenton. As Accounts Assistant in Stoke-on-Trent, you will handle sales invoicing, expenses, and credit card checks, alongside purchase ledger input and statement reconciliations. Daily bank postings, resolving invoice discrepancies, and general administrative support are also key. Stock control duties feature within this position. The ideal candidate will hold AAT qualifications, either part or fully completed, with essential experience using Sage 50 and strong Excel proficiency. Accuracy and speed are vital. This full-time, permanent position offers a salary between £28,000 and £30,000 per annum.

Job Description: Accounts Assistant
Pertemps Stoke are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to support a busy finance team within a transport company based in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.
Main Duties Of This Accounts Assistant Role
- Sales invoicing
- Expenses
- Credit card - checking and reconciling
- Purchase ledger statements reconciliation
- Purchase ledger invoices input
- Raising order numbers
- Resolving any invoice discrepancies
- Daily review of bank postings and bank reconciliations
- General administration duties and supporting accounts
- Stock control
Skills Required For This Accounts Assistant Role
- AAT part of fully qualified
- Experience with Sage Online 50 is essential, and proficient in Excel
- Be able to work quickly, efficiently and accurately
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT Literate
- Self-motivated and able to maintain and develop relationships, able to offer exceptional customer service and have a meticulous eye for detail

- Salary: up to £30,000.00 per year DOE
