Role: Accounts Assistant
Location: Our Westfield office in London (Shepherd's Bush)
Reporting to: Finance Manager
Work Model: 4 days in office, 1 day remote

Responsibilities
- Support and enhance month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of all outputs
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring completeness and compliance with accounting standards
- Produce and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any variances
- Oversee the end-to-end inventory accounting process, including tracking, reconciliation, and related journal postings
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls in line with PCAOB requirements and applicable accounting regulations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
- Compile and analyse monthly sales data, including posting sales-related adjustments to the general ledger
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across finance operations
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of business operations and financial drivers
- Support ad-hoc projects and coordinate with external tax and accounting advisors where required
Requirements
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy and organisation
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups)
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAEW or equivalent)
- Previous experience in accounting or finance role
