Part-Time Accounts Assistant

Location: Cwmbran
Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week, 9:00/9:30am - 3:00pm
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 FTE, pro rata

Are you looking for a part-time opportunity that fits around school drop-off and pick-up?

We are working with a business in Cwmbran that is looking to appoint a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join its team. This role would suit someone looking for a school-hours position, with some flexibility around the start time.

Full training will be provided, so previous accounts experience is not essential. Experience within an accounts or administration environment would be desirable, alongside a willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with credit control and customer accounts
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Dealing with customer and supplier queries
  • Assisting with month-end procedures
  • General accounts and administration duties
  • Supporting the wider team as required

About You

  • Previous experience within accounts or administration is desirable
  • Good attention to detail and organisation
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Reliable and able to work independently
  • Looking for a part-time role around other commitments

The Opportunity

This is a genuine 30-hour-per-week, school-hours position based in Cwmbran.

The role will typically be 9:00am or 9:30am until 3:00pm, making it particularly suitable for someone looking to work around school drop-off and pick-up.

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with an accounts or administration background who is looking to develop their finance experience.

Salary: £24,000-£26,000 FTE, pro rata.
