The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant who will process financial transactions for the Accounts Team and support the Management Accountant.
Duties include:
- Processing supplier invoices onto the purchase ledger, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving discrepancies.
- Recording income received and assisting with credit control.
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assisting with creditor payment runs.
- Monthly internal invoicing.
- Assisting with monthly verification and reviewing of accounting transactions, accruals, and processing journal entries.
- Supporting with quarterly VAT returns and the preparation of management accounts.
- Monthly reporting, including maintenance of the fixed asset registers.
About You
You will need:
- AAT Level 4 and/or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Preferably prior experience using SAGE or similar.
- Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and good attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, professional attitude, polite, and good levels of personal presentation.
- A full UK driving licence and own transport to travel to and from work, as we are in a rural location with no access to public transport.
