Accounts Assistant, Manchester
Salary: £28000-£30000 per annum
FourNet is looking for an Accounts Assistant, reporting to the Group Financial Controller, to support the busy team in Manchester. The Accounts Assistant supports the effective day-to-day operation of the finance function. The role is responsible for accurate bank reconciliations, statutory submissions and month-end reporting, while providing reliable support to the wider finance team. This varied, hands-on position requires strong attention to detail, effective organisation and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with accounts experience who wants to broaden their knowledge and develop within a supportive finance environment.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Month-end reporting: Prepare journals, prepayments, accruals, and assist with the monthly close process.
- Maintaining accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
- Supporting the annual external audit.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reconciliations as required.
- Supporting the wider finance team at all levels.
- Prepare and support accurate statutory submissions in line with relevant deadlines and requirements.

Success in this role will be demonstrated through accurate and timely reconciliations, well-supported month-end reporting, statutory submissions completed to deadline, and responsive support for colleagues across the finance team.
Person Specification
- Experience with bank reconciliations (desirable).
- Experience of posting journals (desirable).
- Confident using Excel to organise and analyse financial data, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Experience with Certinia (ideal but not essential).
