Accounts Assistant

An exciting new opportunity has become available within the Group Finance Department at K3 Advisory Group, an ambitious and growing Private Equity backed Advisory & Professional Services group. Reporting to the Business Sales division Finance Manager, you will be part of the Group Finance Department and be significantly involved in the finances of the divisions of the group.

K3 Advisory Group is highly acquisitive and has ambitious growth plans, creating the perfect career path for the appropriate candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Importing and reconciling data from supporting systems into the finance system
  • Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Supporting transactional finance activities and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Posting journals and supporting month-end processes
  • Assisting with monthly balance sheet preparation and reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving queries and issues within the finance system
  • Liaising with central finance functions, including AP and AR
  • Building effective working relationships with stakeholders across the wider business
  • Producing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
  • Assisting with the production of weekly and monthly KPI reports
  • Supporting the Management Accountant and Finance Manager with month-end, reporting and ad hoc finance projects
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the efficiency of the finance function

Requirements:

  • An excellent standard of general education, including GCSE Maths and English
  • A strong interest in accountancy, finance and business
  • A desire to pursue a professional accountancy qualification
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills and an appetite to develop these further
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to take ownership and ask questions
  • The ability to work effectively to deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • A positive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the wider business
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues
  • Curiosity and a desire to understand not just what the numbers are, but why they are changing
