Job Overview
RG Consultancy are working with a very well established and growing SME in Stockport who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join them on a full time permanent basis. This role would suit someone wanting to develop their accounts experience across all around accounts. It would suit someone who is studying AAT and would like to develop. You will join a small team and report into the Finance Manager

Role Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain purchase ledger transactions and supplier accounts.
- Manage sales ledger, including raising invoices and allocating customer payments.
- Complete regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Process and prepare payment runs in line with company procedures.
- Ensure invoices and payments are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve any queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end processes.
- Use SAP to process and maintain accounting transactions.
- Use Microsoft Excel to manage, analyse and reconcile financial data.
- Work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve payment and invoice queries.
- Ensure all financial information is accurate, complete and up to date.
- Provide general support to the wider finance team as required.

Person Specification
- Studying AAT level 2 or 3 with willingness for progression
- Some previous experience working in an accounts, purchase ledger or similar role
- Strong IT skills, including accounting packages and MS Excel, use of SAP would be an advantage
