Location: Debach, Woodbridge

Department: Accounts

Reporting to: Management Accountant

Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent

Working Hours: 28 – 32 hours per week, Mon – Fri (Flexible on days / 4 – 5 days)

We are now recruiting for a new Accounts Assistant, a key role supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function and the delivery of accurate, timely financial information.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will support a wide range of accounting processes, with a great opportunity to develop and progress in other finance areas. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a solid foundation in Accounts, especially within a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Set up new suppliers / credit forms / bank detail checks
  • Credit card and expense form processing
  • Allocate Direct Debits and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist in management of supplier ledgers and support with supplier queries
  • Raise cheques and ad-hoc payment requests
  • Inter-company journals and reconciliations
  • Process rental sales invoices and allocate receipts
  • Credit control – allocate customer receipts for farming company and chase customers
  • Manage contras between customer and supplier accounts
  • Assist in other accounting duties to support the finance team

Additional Potential Duties

  • Complete payment runs (weekly and monthly)
  • Perform bank reconciliations for all Group companies, including multi-currency
  • Monitor shared emails to deal with Finance related requests
  • Support the Finance Team in various tasks and development projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in an accounts based role, AAT qualification would be supported
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounting systems, experience in Microsoft Navision is desirable
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • A proactive and reliable team player with a strong sense of ownership
