The Role
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to help manage day to day bank reconciliations, sales ledger invoicing and month end tasks.
Our ideal candidate will show a clear desire to succeed in a career in a fast-paced proactive finance team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and territories
- Working closely with our Third Party Business Development team to prepare and send out sales invoices along with posting these into our accounting system
- Month end management accounts preparation and journals to include – prepayments / sales / gift vouchers / credit card fees
- Monthly cashflow actualisations from bank data and review of spend v current forecast along with commentary of analysis work
- Balance sheet reconciliations at month end including detailed review of lodgements (outstanding cash at month end)
- Ad-hoc projects
What We Are Looking For
- Strong academic background
- A finance related degree or some experience in working in a finance team
- Demonstrable motivation to progress a successful career in Finance
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and explore different approaches
- Confidence to interact with key stakeholders across the business
- Highly numerate
- Aptitude in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
- Experience in using accounting and reporting software applications (desirable but not essential)

Once upon a shirt, Nicholas Charles Tyrwhitt Wheeler (whilst studying Geography at Bristol University – we might add) had the notion that he could make a better shirt at better value than anyone else in the world! He believed that all men; no matter their shape or size, where they may be in the world or indeed their budget; should be able to own a Jermyn Street quality shirt. A proper shirt. A CT shirt. That was over 3 decades ago and whilst Charles Tyrwhitt (it rhymes with spirit by the way) is still famous for proper shirts, these days we are about so much more than collars and cuffs. Our purpose is to “make it easy for men to dress well”. We take care of a chap’s entire wardrobe, providing stylish solutions for every occasion. We make sure he gets what he wants, when and how he wants it.
