Accounts Assistant

Clevedon - Office Based

Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:00

Salary £28,000

Our client is a well-established international engineering and manufacturing organisation, recognised as a global leader within its specialist market. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team at their UK Head Office in Clevedon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up new customer and supplier accounts within Sage
  • Process and record invoices and journal entries
  • Set up payments through Barclays online banking
  • Produce credit notes and support invoicing activities
  • Monitor daily bank transactions and post entries to Sage
  • Assist with general finance administration and record keeping
  • Support the wider accounts team with day-to-day accounting activities

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in an accounts, finance, or administration role is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience of Sage200 would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
