The Role
Are you organised, good with numbers and looking for an opportunity to develop your skills in a busy finance office? We're looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and enjoys working with numbers and administration.
Reporting into the Group Finance team, you’ll own day-to-day processes for purchase ledger while also supporting our sales ledger team and external audits.
No previous finance experience is necessary – we'll provide full training. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a keen eye for detail.
What will I be delivering?
Key Requirements:
- Processing purchase invoices & credit notes
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Posting and reconciling credit card transactions
- Liaising with other departments to resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
- Raising weekly and ad hoc payments
- Assisting with accounts administration
- Maintaining accurate financial records and posting transactions in Business Central
- Collating financial data for interim and year end audits
- Assisting the sales ledger team when required
