Accounts and Audit Senior

TPF Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts and Audit Senior to join a leading Eastbourne-based accounting firm. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in both audit and accounting, eager to work within a collaborative and supportive team. The position involves approximately 75% audit work and 25% accounts tasks, and is designed for a qualified ACA or ACCA professional, or an AAT-qualified individual with relevant experience and a minimum of three years in practice.

As an Accounts and Audit Senior, you will:

  • Support managers in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and auditing tasks.
  • Attend in-house technical training sessions to continuously enhance your expertise.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, upholding a professional standard at all times.

  • ACA or ACCA qualification, or AAT qualification with extensive relevant experience.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a practice setting.
  • Familiarity with preparing accounts under FRS 105, FRS 102 1a, and FRS 102 standards.
  • Ability to assist in audit planning and contribute to audit files.
  • Specialised experience in charity audits or solicitor accounts rules (beneficial but not required).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current accounting and audit legislation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT, with training provided as needed.
