Job Title: Accounts & Business Services Senior
Location: Hybrid Working – London E14 / Occasional visits to other London offices
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour week
Reporting to: ABS Manager
Salary: £42,000 - £55,000

Your Opportunity
The role of an ABS Senior is to ensure the accurate preparation and review of ABS work in accordance with budget timelines and accounting standards. This includes overseeing client accounts, taxation and financial requirements as directed, building strong relationships with clients, and providing technical advice on complex accounting matters.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Technical
- Produces accurate management accounts independently, with reconciliations and clear commentary
- Completes VAT returns and working papers confidently, including complex items
- Prepares year-end and statutory accounts end-to-end, meeting legal requirements
- Completes corporation tax computations for straightforward cases and supports more complex ones
- Identifies how business changes affect tax and flags required actions, such as: Repayment for overdrawn directors’ loan account (s455, New car leases and related P11D/benefit-in-kind issues, Incorporation or acquisition of subsidiaries and corporation tax impact)
- Uses systems effectively to automate or streamline tasks
- Troubleshoots system issues and supports others in resolving them
- Identifies where technology can improve accuracy or speed in client delivery
- Has completed or is close to completing a recognised qualification (e.g., AAT, ACA, ACCA)
- Proactively maintains knowledge through CPD and self-learning
- Shares knowledge by walking through processes with junior team members
- Applies new learning to improve quality or efficiency across clients
- Ensures CPD requirements met once qualified for ACA/ACCA
Delivery
- Consistently delivers accurate, well-documented work on time
- Keeps timesheets and WIP up to date without reminders
- Spots and corrects errors before review
- Offers proactive support to their manager when it comes to the completion of jobs
- Maintains high standards even when managing multiple deadlines
- Manages delivery of regular outputs across multiple clients
- Ability to manage multiple expectations across different clients
- Works independently and escalates only complex issues
- Organises own tasks and communicates shifting priorities clearly
- Takes full responsibilities for the accuracy and completion of assigned work

You’ll Be Ideal for This Role If You Have:
Experience
- Minimum 3-4 years of accounts and business services experience, with familiarity in accounts processes and industry standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis software, accounts software, strong problem-solving, and excellent written and verbal communication.
Qualifications
- Education: For graduates, 2:1 bachelor’s degree. For school leavers, BBC across 3 A-levels or equivalent.
- Certification: Has completed or is close to completing a recognised qualification (e.g., AAT, ACA, ACCA)

Our recruitment process typically involves three stages:
- An introductory Teams call with our Talent Acquisition team.
