Senior Accountant (Stamford Office)

Job Purpose
Join our Stamford office to manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring a high standard of professionalism and quality of service. Support the business in effectively meeting targets and maintaining standards aligned with relevant accounting guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the management of an account portfolio, ensuring:
- Timely submission of financial statements and tax returns
- On-time completion of all work while maintaining profitability
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships, including:
- Attending client meetings
- Travelling to client premises and between offices
- Prepare financial statements for:
- Sole traders, partnerships
- Charities and limited companies
- Produce year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Organise and optimise the flow of work, considering resourcing requirements
- Ensure work is delivered within budget and time constraints
- Provide mentorship and support to junior staff
- Prepare schedules for tax returns
- Complete VAT returns

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be ACA/ACCA qualified
- Preferable general practice experience
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent computer literacy
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking proactive initiative
- Outstanding organisational and administrative abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
