Accounts Manager – Brighton
In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing accounts and tax work while supporting the wider team and providing clients with proactive advice throughout the year.

We're working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Brighton that's looking for an Accounts Manager / Client Manager to join its team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys the client-facing side of the job and wants plenty of autonomy, while still having a strong team around them.

The Role
You'll take responsibility for a varied portfolio, with your day-to-day work including:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as their main point of contact
- Reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and FRS 105
- Reviewing corporation tax returns and computations
- Overseeing management accounts, VAT and bookkeeping work
- Providing clients with proactive accounting and tax advice
- Managing workflow, deadlines and budgets across your portfolio
- Reviewing work completed by Seniors and Semi-Seniors
- Coaching and developing junior members of the team
- Working closely with Partners on more complex assignments and advisory projects

About You
You'll ideally be ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE, with strong experience working within a UK accountancy practice and confidence managing your own client relationships. Previous management experience would be useful, but we're also keen to hear from experienced Accounts Seniors or Client Managers who are ready to take the next step.
