Accounts Manager Opportunity
Looking for an Accounts Manager opportunity where you can have a genuine influence on your clients, your team, and the wider direction of a firm?
NXTGEN is delighted to once again be working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice that I’ve had the pleasure of working with for a number of years. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to add an Accounts Manager to their Accounts team – a key hire that will play an important role in supporting the continued development of both the team and the wider firm.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety that comes with a Manager-level position, but also wants to make a genuine difference. You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, build strong and trusted relationships, support and develop those around you, and work closely with the Partners and wider management team.
There’s also a real opportunity to be visible within the local market, helping to identify and win new work, build relationships with local businesses, and represent the firm at networking events and other external opportunities. What will you be doing?
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted point of contact, and taking the time to understand their businesses.
- Overseeing the delivery of work and ensuring clients receive a consistently high level of service.
- Supporting, coaching, and developing Seniors, Assistant Managers, and wider members of the team.
- Getting involved in more complex and specialist work, alongside reviewing and overseeing work produced by the wider team.
- Working closely with Partners and the management team to support the continued growth and development of the business.
- Identifying opportunities to support clients with additional services and introducing them to other areas of the firm where appropriate.
- Getting involved in proposals, tenders, networking, and wider business development activity.
- Acting as a mentor and sounding board for more junior members of the management team.
Ideally, you’ll be...
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified, with solid experience gained within an accountancy practice and the confidence to take ownership of both your clients and your team.
More importantly, they’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people. Someone who can build strong relationships with clients, communicate well, support and develop others, and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to their work.
