Accounts Manager - Outsourced Business Services
Cardiff | £50,000 - £60,000 + Hybrid Working + Outstanding Career Progression

The Opportunity
As an Accounts Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of clients, providing a fully outsourced finance function while working closely with ambitious owner-managed businesses across a wide range of sectors.
You'll oversee the delivery of management accounts, statutory financial statements and financial reporting, while mentoring a talented team and building long-term relationships with your clients. This is a varied leadership role offering genuine autonomy, commercial responsibility and excellent long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality outsourced accounting services.
- Oversee the preparation and review of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted long-term relationships.
- Manage WIP, billing, budgets and overall portfolio profitability.
- Lead, coach and develop a team, supporting both technical and professional development.
- Collaborate closely with Audit and Corporate Tax teams to provide a seamless client service.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and support wider business development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvements across systems, processes and client service delivery.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, or qualified by experience within UK accountancy practice.
- Strong experience managing a client portfolio within Business Services or Outsourced Accounting.
- Excellent knowledge of statutory accounts and management accounts.
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, with exposure to CaseWare or similar software being advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, WIP and client profitability.
- A confident leader with experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Passionate about delivering an exceptional client experience and building lasting relationships.
