Accounts Manager – Brighton
In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of clients, oversee accounts and tax work, and play a key part in developing both client relationships and the wider team – with a genuine longer-term opportunity to progress towards Partner level and ownership in the firm.

We're working with a well-established accountancy practice in Brighton that's looking for an ambitious Accounts Manager to join its team. This isn't simply another portfolio management position. Our client is looking for someone who can become an important part of the firm longer-term, with opportunities to progress through the management structure and ultimately towards Partnership and ownership.

The Role
You'll take responsibility for a varied client portfolio while working closely with the Partners, including:
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102, FRS 102 1A and FRS 105
- Reviewing corporation tax returns, management accounts and VAT work
- Providing proactive accounting and business advice to clients
- Managing workflow, deadlines and budgets
- Reviewing work completed by Seniors and Semi-Seniors
- Coaching and developing junior members of the team
- Supporting the Partners with more complex client and advisory work
- Gradually becoming involved in the wider management and development of the practice

About You
You'll ideally be ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE, with strong experience within a UK accountancy practice and confidence managing your own portfolio and client relationships. We're particularly interested in speaking with ambitious people who want more than their next job – someone who would like the opportunity to help develop a practice and potentially become an owner of the business longer-term.
