Job Title
We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day accounts function across a successful local Garden Centre group operating multiple sites.
Reporting To
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will manage and support an established team of four accounts staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day accounts function across four companies
- Leading and supporting the existing accounts team
- Month-end processes, trial balances and reconciliations
- Investigating discrepancies and variances
- Managing sales, purchases, cash, banking and stock transactions
- Monthly payroll and VAT records
- Supporting cash flow management and financial reporting
- Maintaining strong financial controls and processes
- Liaising with colleagues across the wider business and multiple sites

About You
You will have a strong hands-on accounts background, with experience of month-end processes, reconciliations and double-entry bookkeeping. Previous leadership experience is essential, along with strong Excel skills and experience using Sage.
