Accounts / Client Manager – Accountancy Practice
Cornwall | Hybrid | £45,000–£55,000 | Future Partnership Opportunity
I'm working with an established independent accountancy practice in Cornwall that is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts / Client Manager to join its growing team. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who has reached Manager level within practice and is looking for a role offering genuine long-term progression towards Partnership.
The role
You’ll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients and play an important role within the wider practice, including:
- Managing your own portfolio of clients
- Acting as a key point of contact and trusted adviser
- Reviewing accounts and tax work
- Providing tax and general business advice
- Building and developing long-term client relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Working closely with the existing leadership team
- Contributing ideas towards the continued development and growth of the practice
- Taking on increasing responsibility as you progress towards a potential future Partnership position

About you
We’re particularly interested in speaking with someone who:
- Is ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Has strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Is currently operating around Manager / Client Manager level
- Is comfortable managing their own client portfolio
- Has broad accounts and tax experience
- Is confident dealing directly with clients
- Has experience reviewing work and supporting more junior staff
- Is commercially minded and interested in progressing their career
- Would like the opportunity to potentially move towards Partnership

Package
- £45,000–£55,000, depending on experience
