Accounts Manager - Rental Department

Due to the continued growth of our Property Management division, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager - Rental Department to oversee the financial management of our property management business.

Reporting to senior management, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day accounting function of our Property Management Department, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance and the highest standards of client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client accounts in accordance with Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA) regulations.
  • Process rental income, landlord payments and contractor invoices.
  • Prepare monthly landlord statements and financial reports.
  • Reconcile client accounts and bank accounts.
  • Monitor rent arrears and work closely with the Property Management team to resolve account issues.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with year-end accounts and audits.
  • Liaise with landlords, tenants, contractors and external accountants.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, regulatory and trust account requirements.
  • Apply and maintain a thorough working knowledge of current Irish landlord and tenant legislation, ensuring all financial processes and client accounts operate in compliance with the Residential Tenancies Acts and associated regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting and operational efficiencies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance management role, ideally within the property sector.
  • A strong understanding of bookkeeping, accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience using accounting software; experience with property management software is an advantage.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accounting Technician (ATI), part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience is desirable.
