About Us

Somerville Glass is a family-run business established in 1982 and a leading provider of high-quality windows, doors and glazing solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Office Administrator to join our friendly team.

The primary focus of this role is managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, including credit control, alongside general office administration and customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and is comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day accounts administration of a busy office.

  • Raise sales invoices and follow up outstanding payments
  • Manage credit control and customer accounts
  • Process purchase invoices and supplier payments
  • Prepare weekly financial reports
  • Maintain accurate accounting and administrative records
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across the office
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries by telephone and email
  • Liaise with suppliers and colleagues regarding orders and account queries
  • Create and manage customer guarantees
  • Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with company procedures

  • Practical accounts experience, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • A professional and helpful approach to customers and suppliers
  • A commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
