Accounts Payable Accountant
Our client in the data centres industry is looking for a new Accounts Payable Accountant to join their growing team based in London.
You’ll take responsibility for the accounts payable process and supplier reconciliations, while supporting balance sheet control, journals, and month-end close. The role is transactional in its immediate focus, with scope to develop into broader management accounting work over time.
The Role
- Own the accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approvals, and processing.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and resolve queries promptly.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and follow up reconciling items.
- Post journals, accruals, prepayments, and other month-end adjustments.
- Support the month-end timetable and prepare relevant schedules.
- Assist with management information, financial analysis, and ad hoc projects.
- Help maintain strong controls and suggest practical process improvements.

- Have at least two years’ experience in accounts payable, transactional finance, or a similar accounting role.
- Are studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Understand reconciliations and have some exposure to journals and month-end.
- Are methodical, accurate, and comfortable managing competing priorities.
- Can use Excel and finance systems confidently and communicate well with suppliers and colleagues.
- Are keen to build on your transactional experience and progress within finance.
