itsu [grocery], where this role sits, extends the much-loved itsu brand beyond our shops and into supermarkets, health food retailers, online channels, wholesale partners, and international markets. Our growing product range includes customer favourites such as crispy seaweed thins, frozen gyoza and bao, brilliant'broth, rice'noodles, and miso'easy, bringing the taste and quality of itsu into homes around the world.
About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage the Accounts email inbox, ensuring invoices are forwarded for processing and supplier queries are handled efficiently.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any outstanding items.
- Escalate complex supplier issues where appropriate and support with timely resolutions.
- Provide ad hoc administrative and financial support to the wider finance team as required.

Key Role Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Manage and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring records are up to date and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Chase outstanding invoices and credit notes while building positive relationships with suppliers.
- Assist with weekly bank reconciliations, including posting transactions, allocating payments and receipts, and maintaining accurate records in Sage.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, or Finance Assistant role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage and confidence working with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving account discrepancies.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy finance environment.
