IMMEDIATE START | Accounts Payable Assistant | Northampton (Brackmills)

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for your next opportunity?

We’re partnering with a renowned International organisation who are hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team in Brackmills, Northampton, with an immediate start available.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a busy AP environment, managing multiple priorities and finding ways to improve processes.

You’ll be working with NetSuite, handling invoices, expenses and credit card reconciliations across multiple currencies, while helping keep the AP function running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Process and manage high volumes of supplier invoices in NetSuite, ensuring accurate coding, timely approvals and prompt payment.
  • Process employee expenses and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Complete company credit card reconciliations, ensuring expenses are accurately tracked, compliant and fully supported.
  • Work confidently across multiple currencies, ensuring transactions and reconciliations are accurate.
  • Manage multiple finance inboxes, prioritising and responding to supplier and internal queries efficiently.
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding queries while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Support and improve the monthly AP cycle, optimising workflows and helping ensure a smooth and timely month-end close.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, organised documentation and strong adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to better AP processes and ways of working across the business.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous Accounts Payable experience - Essential
  • Experience using an ERP system — NetSuite experience would be highly desirable, or similar ERP system.
  • Experience processing expenses and credit card reconciliations
  • Comfortable working with multiple currencies
  • Highly organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities
  • Confident managing multiple inboxes and queries
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A team player who takes ownership and looks for ways to improve processes

The details:

  • Location: Brackmills, Northampton
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Working pattern: 4 days in the office + 1 day working from home
  • ERP: NetSuite
  • Start date: Immediate
