Accounts Payable Coordinator | London | Hybrid - 6 month FTC
Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for a role where you can take ownership, influence processes, and help shape the future of finance operations?
We're working with a growing, multi-entity business seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their finance team. This is a broad and varied position that combines day-to-day AP responsibilities with process improvement, automation initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and the opportunity to support an international supplier portfolio.
Salary: £33,000
Location: London
Hybrid: 4 days in 1 from home
Duration: 6 month FTC
Key Responsibilities:
- Own a section of the Accounts Payable ledger across multiple legal entities
- Process high volumes of PO and non-PO invoices, including three-way matching
- Manage supplier queries, statement reconciliations, and dispute resolution
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams including Procurement, Operations, Property, and Treasury
- Support weekly and ad hoc payment runs, ensuring adherence to financial controls
- Maintain supplier master data and oversee banking and payment detail accuracy
- Monitor and reduce aged creditors while ensuring timely vendor payments
- Assist with GL reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and month-end close activities
- Produce AP reporting, analyse ledger performance, and identify trends and risks
- Act as a key point of escalation for suppliers and business stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement projects, process automation, and AI-led efficiencies across finance operations
- Support system enhancements and help document and improve ways of working

What we're looking for:

- Strong Accounts Payable experience within a high-volume environment
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Advanced Excel skills and strong reconciliation expertise
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and build relationships across the business
- Experience contributing to process improvement or automation projects
