Accounts Payable Assistant
DP World in the UK is at the heart of Britain’s trading future, providing the right trading infrastructure, smart logistical solutions, and the benefits of freeport status to our customers.
An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Finance department for an Accounts Payable professional to join us on a 12 month Fixed Term contract and be based out of our operation in the London Gateway Port to support our UK wide Accounts Payable needs. Reporting to the UK Accounts Payable Manager, our successful candidate will perform invoicing/billing activities such as preparing, recording, analysing and reporting invoicing/billing transactions, ensuring compliance with contracts for all DP World UK Ports and Terminal companies. You’ll respond to basic questions or concerns from suppliers with regards to their invoicing/ billing processes. We need your expertise to provide insights and analyses to management on invoicing/ billing operations and all things accounts payable.

About the Role
How you will contribute:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices for all UK Ports and Terminal business units
- Resolution of invoice queries from suppliers
- Checking supplier statements
- Accounts Payable data entry
- Assist and process weekly BACs payment runs for UK Ports and Terminal business units
- Conduct weekly supplier statement reconciliations
- Provide assistance gathering information and/or with reports for auditors if required
- Work with the UK AP team to continually improve AP processes and functions
- Support the UK AP team with any other ad hoc duties and cover in times of absence
- Any other duties reasonably requested by Management

What you will bring:
- Demonstrable Accounts Payable assistant experience
- AAT qualified or part qualified
- Computer literate with good excel and word skills
- Good communication skills (both written and oral)
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage fluctuations in workload
- Adaptable with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
