Do I need to be a golfer? … Not at all. We primarily operate as a travel company, with golf being just one aspect of our offerings. Role Overview
As part of our continued success, we are looking for a talented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our fast-paced finance team. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Head of Accounts Payable, you will perform the day-to-day processing of transactions to ensure our finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner. You will bring The Expert Edge to this role by constantly learning, evolving, and pushing boundaries to go the extra yard for our business. Above all, you will keep the Customer First, Always, using empathy and insight to consistently exceed the expectations of our suppliers, internal teams, and ultimately, our clients.
Key Responsibilities

Invoice Processing & Reconciliation
- Process a high volume of invoices efficiently, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies.
- Perform invoice matching against the internal booking system, proactively investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Conduct regular and accurate supplier statement reconciliations.

Payment Operations
- Facilitate weekly payment runs, processing transactions accurately via bank transfer and Virtual Credit Card (VCC).
- Post and allocate payments to the correct supplier accounts in a timely manner.

Supplier Management
- Manage an assigned portfolio of suppliers, ensuring on-time payments and maintaining a clean aged creditors report.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, professionally resolving phone and email inquiries.

General Finance Support
- Support the wider finance team with month-end close procedures.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and operational duties as required.

Requirements
- Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Prior working experience of an ERP system
- A strong knowledge of Excel/Google Suite preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Be honest and trustworthy and aware of the importance of confidentiality
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
