Accounts Assistant
Location: Manchester
Job Type: Contract (Minimum 4 months)
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments.
- Raising sales invoices and allocating customer receipts.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting.
- Monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Resolving invoice and payment queries with suppliers and customers.
- Assisting with credit control activities.
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc administrative and finance-related tasks.

Essential Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable, or similar role.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
