Accounts Payable– Beauty & Personal Care Scale-Up – London
The Opportunity
We’re working exclusively with a high-growth consumer business that is entering an exciting stage of continued expansion.
As the company grows, they’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Finance team and take ownership of the day-to-day AP function.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join an ambitious, entrepreneurial business where Finance is genuinely valued. You’ll have ownership of your area from day one, work closely with the wider Finance team and have the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities as the business continues to scale.
Importantly, this is not intended to be a career AP role. The business is keen to develop someone who wants to build their technical finance knowledge, with a medium-to-long-term pathway into management accounts and broader commercial finance.
The Role
- Own the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, from invoice processing through to payment.
- Process, code and match supplier invoices accurately.
- Manage supplier statements, reconciliations and payment queries.
- Prepare regular supplier payment runs and maintain accurate supplier records.
- Manage the AP inbox and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations and outstanding invoices.
- Assist with expenses, credit cards and other transactional Finance processes.
- Maintain clear visibility of supplier commitments and support wider cash-flow management.
- Work closely with the wider Finance team on audit, reporting and ad hoc projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls and automation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
