Experienced AP Assistant needed for a fast-paced creative agency. £38k, hybrid working with 3 days from home and a brilliant team culture.
Salary: £38,000
Location: London
Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home
We’re working with an award-winning creative communications agency looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Finance team.
This is a busy, hands-on AP role within a fast-paced creative environment, supporting teams across production, experiential, influencer, PR and creative. It would suit someone who enjoys working at pace, is confident dealing with people across a business and likes taking ownership of their workload.
The Role
You’ll support the accounts payable process from end to end, with responsibilities including:

- Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals and PO matching
- Taking ownership of the AP ledger and keeping supplier accounts accurate and up to date
- Setting up new suppliers and maintaining supplier records
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Handling supplier queries and building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Supporting regular payment runs
- Managing employee expenses through Pleo
- Assisting with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Supporting project reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
- Working across finance systems including Concept and Pleo
- Supporting improvements to AP processes and financial controls
What We’re Looking For
- Previous Accounts Payable experience within an agency, media, production or similar project-based environment is essential
- Good understanding of the full AP process, from supplier set-up through to payment and reconciliation
- Experience with purchase orders, expenses, reconciliations and payment runs
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Comfortable managing a busy workload and changing priorities
- Confident communicating with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Good Excel and general systems skills
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable problem solving
- Experience with Concept and/or Pleo would be beneficial
