ROLE SUMMARY

Role: Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk
Location: Mayfair, London (4 days in office per week, 1 day WFH)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Start date: ASAP

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a shared service for UK & Northern Europe. There are currently 14 schools in the UK, 2 in Switzerland, 1 in Latvia, and 1 in Belgium. Therefore, an opportunity is now available for an AP Clerk to join the team and help support our vast portfolio. This position reports to the Head of Accounting and Tax and will be based in 3 Burlington Gardens, W1S 3EP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Upload and coding of invoices through AP Connect into JD Edwards (accounting software)
  • Creating new suppliers on JDE and complete supplier bank verifications
  • Prepare payment runs every two weeks (autopayments and manual payments)
  • Assisting with month end accruals relating to invoices received not yet processed
  • Respond to supplier and staff queries via email and keep the inboxes up to date.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Demonstrable experience in a previous Accounts Payable role (essential).
  • JDE Experience (desirable) otherwise strong financial system experience.
  • Fully proficient in Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation with excellent telephone and email manner.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • A self-starter with the drive, determination, and commitment to get things done on time and accurately.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
  • Organised and able to plan and prioritise.
  • A good team player, flexible, able to adapt and pro-active with a positive attitude, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Sector experience preferred, but not essential.
  • French speaking is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Happy with 4 days in office, 1 day WFH.
