Accounts Payable Clerk (6-Months Contract)
Location: Watford, UK
Our client is one of the world's leading independent renewable energy companies, with a strong international presence across wind, solar, energy storage and other renewable technologies. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a Swedish-speaking Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Northern European Asset Management Finance team.
The Position
The Northern European Asset Management department provides financial support services across a portfolio of clients owning renewable energy assets, including onshore wind farms, solar farms and energy storage projects.
The Finance team manages more than 200 companies across multiple clients and regions. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will work alongside an established Accounts Payable team and report directly to the Accounts Payable & Treasury Manager.
The key requirement for this position is fluency in Swedish and English, as you will primarily support clients and entities across Sweden.
The business is continuing to grow rapidly, so this role would suit someone who can adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service across their allocated portfolio.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Accounts Payable and Treasury support, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, payments are executed correctly and cash management activities are completed within a strong financial control environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
