Accounts Payable Manager

Location: London (4 days in the office)

We're currently partnering with an exciting and growing business to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager to join their finance team.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys taking ownership of their work and thrives in a collaborative finance environment. You'll be joining a well-established finance team where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function, while also contributing to ongoing process improvements and supporting wider finance activities. It's a great role for someone who is proactive, organised and looking to build on their existing AP experience within a growing business.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the Accounts Payable function across two entities, ensuring invoices, supplier payments and reconciliations are processed accurately and efficiently while supporting month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process.
  • Process supplier invoices, payment runs and employee expenses.
  • Complete bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support month-end close, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and resolve invoice queries.
  • Produce aged creditor reporting and support audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and finance procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the wider business to ensure the smooth running of the AP function.

About You

  • Previous experience in an end-to-end Accounts Payable role.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience using finance systems such as Xero, Dext or similar would be advantageous but isn't essential.
  • Multi-entity or multi-currency experience would be beneficial.
