Accounts Payable Manager
We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-performing AP team, ensuring efficient processes, strong financial controls, and excellent supplier relationships within a fast-paced retail environment. Description
The key responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Manager role will be:
- Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team, ensuring high performance and engagement.
- Manage the end-to-end AP process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices.
- Oversee supplier statement reconciliations and resolve escalated queries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial regulations.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Manage payment runs across multiple entities and currencies.
- Partner closely with Procurement, Commercial Finance, and wider business stakeholders.
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting.
- Monitor AP KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members through regular coaching and performance reviews.

Profile
The Successful Accounts Payable Manager Should Have
- Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable function, or in a similar accountancy role.
- Previous people management experience.
- Strong understanding of AP controls, processes, and best practice.
- Experience within retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or other high-volume environments desirable.
- Strong Excel and ERP systems knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
